The 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II was a mid-size automobile produced by the Plymouth division of Chrysler Corporation. It was available as a two-door hardtop coupe, four-door sedan, or station wagon. The Belvedere II was powered by a variety of engines, including a 225 cubic inch slant-six, a 318 cubic inch V8, a 383 cubic inch V8, or, as in our vehicle, a 426 cubic inch 2x4 BBL Hemi V8, producing as astonishing 425 HP.
In 1967, the Belvedere II was one of the most popular cars in the United States, with over 300,000 units sold. It was also a successful race car, with Richard Petty winning the 1964 Daytona 500 in a Belvedere II powered by a Hemi V8.
This vehicle has been made available from Mr. Ryan’s private collection and has had only four owners since being originally sold to Pat Knight Chrysler Plymouth in Las Cruces, NM.
It has been verified by Govier and Chrysler as a one-of-one vehicle. Equipped with an A833 4-speed manual transmission, 3.54 Sure Grip 9.75 Dana 60 rear axle, power disc brakes, heater, and an AM/FM radio, this magnificent example of a sixties muscle car has only 51,600 miles on the odometer.
The vehicle comes complete with letters of correspondence from Chrysler and the original owner, a Galen V Govier decoded fender tag and all six-factory body tag/markings intact.
